So far, that aspect of the camera that I had really hoped would be improved, the ISO has been a big disappointment. It's no better than with the D1x, and therefore I will have to shoot in ISO 500. These were done in ISO 800

These images, and two more posts that I will make shortely were done in ISO 800 and were far to noisy.

In other respects the camera is awesome! Tremendous speed, big buffer, and a pleasure to use. In addition I can now punch in the MM and the F-Stop and make use of the light meter.

As far as the above images go, I love the reflections, and all of them can be flipped vertically for some humourous effects...

No problem at all...


I use a Swarovski Spotting scope, usually with the 800mm adapter. This has a fixed F-stop of 10...

The 1100mm, which I use from time to time has an F-stop of 13.
