These birds are quite large, maybe about a large macaw size. they reimind me of a Frenchmanwith a beret. They are quite vocal when flying, sounding very similar to a baby's wailing cry.

Hi zolbol, thanks for the comments, these shots were taken in Eshowe, a little city set on a hill in the heart of Zululand,Natal, SA., the town of my birth [and the rest of my family]

WAAAAAAAAAAAHH !! -- thats my best shot at it, dont know if it works?? - seriously, they really sound like a baby's wail, and when a few are together, it could be a whole nursery of babies doing their thing
