Really nice shots. Tough exposure on this one due to the sun angle. Expose
for detail in the white and lose detail in the dark are or expose for the
dark areas and lose white detail. In this case, the choice to give up whites,
really shows off the irridecent nature of the swallows colors.

zoomn, really nice. i really like swallows!! now if i could only get a sharp shot like yours. do you use Photoshop CS2?? the shaddow/highlight option may be able to get some detail out of the highlights while leaving the rest as is or close to as is.

These are really well done, zoomn, nice job on the exposure and detail capture. I'd say that natural light on the belly would be next to impossible to not blow just a touch in order to get the rest of the bird so well. I don't even notice it because the colors on the remainder of the bird jump out at the viewer and then the detail leaps on the viewer again, rendering him/her fully satisfied.

Really nice captures. Maybe you should try to clone out the OOF branch on the back.

Thanks to all for looking.

Bobby I don't do much on the cloning. It seems to turn our looking like crap whenever I do it. So I just leave them as is most of the time.
