Very good capture ofa "drama" that is the usual routine of a butcher bird.

Looks very similiar to the onesin myarea, although it has been sometime since I have seen one.Barbed wire spikes are a favorite of theirs for impaling grasshoppers etc;

thekman. The lens is my canon 100-300 usm these were shot at 300mm and I was about 10 feet from the bird

Loved the shots of the Grey Butcher bird. These killers have such a lovely call, a mellow piping, sometimes like a bugle call- and no small bird is safe from them. Not even caged birds hanging outdoors.

Round one may have gone to the bird but my money is on the skink in round 2. Nice series of photos and I'm glad I'm not a skink.
