A Mockingbird greets the dawn on some scrub brush in sand dunes.

This Crow passed by while I was shooting the Mockingbird, and I took this snap shot (finally understanding the term, "snap shot" )

The close crop has had much more work done to it than I normally do to an image. I wanted to show that even though I shoot at 500, it's the wings that are a blur, yet the body allows fairly good, if not perfect detail.

Those top Mockingbird shots are beautiful. I especially like the first one because of the shape of the bird's fluid, organic pose, similar to the perch in many ways.

The marsh is in bloom, these little ratty tree's and scrub grass's either have just or are now in full flower...

Nature is framing my shots for me...

But the Crow shot, bad as it is, was far more difficult...

Thanks Norm

Nice shots DBB. I like the first one best. Like you said, ole' Ma Nature is framing the shots for you. It works beautifully. I like the crow capture too. Shows the speed he was moving. Cheers......thekman.
