Ran across this guy today. Man, he was really figitty!!! He (or she) kept
flying from branch to branch and bush to bush. As he was doing all this
in pretty deep shadows, I resorted to using the internal flash.
(I was close enough that I new it would do the job.) He just wouldn't sit still.
Only got one shot of him momentarily perched, the other two he was taking flight.
(Did get some great shots of empty branches :-)).

PS. Anyone have problems lately with posting. It refused to work on two of the
browsers on my G5 and my power book, and was acting really strange on my
HP laptop running IE on win XP pro. Finally used Firefox to do my posts.

All shots 20D, 100-400L, ISO 400, internal flash, 1/250 sec, 360mm, f/7.1

Nice shots, wm, your photos demonstrate effectively how this bird was rushing about, non-stop, but you pulled off some good ones. My favorite personally is the middle one where the pose is not blocked. I haven't had any posting problems of late, no. Things are running smoothly both with uploading to Steve's and also linking to my own site.

Nice shots, I also like the #2 one. Haven't had any problems with the forum except that yesterday everything was showing off in white color.

Nice shots in tough light.

My favorite is the first even though it is blocked. I really like the wing outstretched shots.

Thanks guys for checking out the photos and your comments. For a while when I was
shooting this guy, I thought it was a kinglet masquerading as a wren the way he was
flitting about.
