You hang out in wilderness long enough and you see weird things. This Oystercatcher landed near me, but was paying me no attention. He literally skulked along the marsh, laying low as if he was avoiding something. I don't think these images quite capture it, but he got ME paranoid....

There is a Peregrine Falcon which makes regular visits to this marsh, but I'm not sure that even a Falcon could take an Oystercatcher, but he certainly wasn't around that day.

This bird was WORRIED!If you've seen my other posts of these birds they usually strut around the beach...

This one would pause and hit the dirt every ten feet or so...
