The above Dove looks exactly as I felt; an hour later and in a different location, the rain broke, although the fog was still around...

Dave, in those conditions, you did real well!!! good sharpness and detail in all for such a slow shutter speed. i really like the background for the 1st sparrow pic!!! just wish the sparrow filled the fram more. nice going!!!

I do not choose these conditons voluntarily. If the terrorist weatherman had told me what to expect I would have stayed home....:lol:

The reason I didn't close crop the first sparrow, was because I wanted people to "see" the fog.

Shooting in fog is always an intersting problem, and I often go out in fog (but NOT rain) to make captures.

Hopefully I will have some better examples from this thurday, where the weatherman is once again predicting fog (but no rain).
