A fewweeks ago, we noticed a hummingbird was frequenting our liquidambar tree. In a couple of days, she completed buildinga nest and shortly thereafter two little jellybean sized eggs appeared. Yesterday, I noticed mom standing on the edge of the nest poking her little beak down inside. I figured she must be feeding a little one. The nest is about 7 feet off the ground, so it's difficult to get a camera in position but after a few tries, I got some pix of the babies, but the quality of the images is very dark and quite poor. I just couldn't get enough light down into the nest. I bought PS elementsyesterday, and I found I could make a poor image fairly decent looking with the edit tools. That's how I was able to make this image viewable. I think the baby looks kinda like ET. Note the non hummingbird like beak and the funny hair-like feathers growing out of the back. Can't wait til they get older and start buzzing around. Hope I can get one to hold still for me long enough to shoot. Should be fun.

Absolutely wonderful plus! And I hardly ever use exclamation marks.
