Hi Woody

I love the Sigma, although after a deal with the devil, I now use the Swarovski 'scope. I can actually use the scope hand held, while the Sigma MUST have at least a monopod.

I used it steady for a year, trying to shoot handheld, and I did, as long as I didn't open it up...

Opened up it's a bit over 13 inches long, an throws you off balance.

It's heavy.

However if you really persevere you can just use it with a monopod.

Thanks for all of the more than nice compliments you guys and gals. I truly appreciate them and I'm sure that they play a part in inspiring me to go out and get more.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Julie, I let you take care of the avitars and you do the best job of all. I wouldn't dare try to keep up :-)

Thanks pappy, I appreciate the great response.

Julie, I do have an avitar, and I've had one all along. Here, I'll increase it in size and sharpen it up just a touch so you can see it better:

Norm, after reading all of these comments several times, I can't come up with anything that hasn't already been said. You are truly an amazing person with an unbelievable talent. Your ability to take pictures such as these and explain what's happening with each one can not be topped.

Regards
