Got these two piccies and am quite pleased with them. The first one while the bird was sitting and eating. The second one with manual settings because the cam was way too slow with the AF and stuff (Oly C770UZ). Enjoy.

Thanks - tbh I never thought it would turn out that great. It was a cloudy and rainy day (did you notice the raindrops in the picture?) and I had a hard time to get enough light for a good shot.

Looks like a trained bird gone wild. Those cords on his feet aren't bands, rather the cloth that handlers use to hold the bird. Any idea where he escaped from?

You got it DBB... I took the pics at a rather amsll wildlife park at a falconry which had some injured birds. Most of them not able to fly (open wounds, broken wings, too weak from hunger and stuff) or not trained. Only 2 birds (this eagle and a hawk) were ready to fly (I think the falconer did it mostly for the kids, especially because it was a rainy day) and we got some nice views of these lovely birds.

The eaglerefused to return to the falconer for quite some time and had it's fun to pick up all the wasted bait (shot 1). When no food was left it returned at last to the falconer and the audience. So no true wildlife here :sad:but since the falconer told us the birds are mostly there for recovery from accidents and do not fly on a regular schedule I thought I might as well post here.

If you have a closer look at the first pic you will notice a wound on the right wing for example...

Thanks all for your nice comments, I think I should post one of the hawk shots later too for your viewing pleasure.
