Ive not seen any of these in my yard before, There were a group of them here today. I looked them up in my bird field guide and they are called Elegant Parrots.

You did a very nice job on this elegant parrot julie, especially the first one. It is really nice. The pose, blue sky, color of the bird and even the limb that he's perched on is pretty. I'm getting jealous of all the pretty birds that you seem to have available. Just kidding. I love your stuff.

Thanks houston, and right now its winter and theres not as many birds around, mind you yesterday was sunny and 17C and we are right in the middle of the winter season! Not the normal weather though, Im sure in a few days it will be raining again and overcast, I hate those kind of days as no good light for my bird photos? One of the guys at my local photo club saw a photo of mine the other day, it was of an old car. He said "Thats a funny looking bird , Julie":-)I think that kind of says Im becoming obsessed with bird photography

By the way, the branch the bird is sitting on is from an apricot tree, the blossom it will produce in a few weeks is spectacular
