This is the same bird that I posted earlier. The difference being the light...

The first two shots were shot on a cloudy - But Bright cloudy day. Shot at 250

These three were shot in glare. He moved before I could re-position my self...

They were shot at 500

This bird thinks he's a hawk. He perches above a glade, grass and fields, where the baby bunnies and mice and voles roam. He is very annoyed with me - But hey, what can he do about that?

This is the fourth time I've seen him in the same glade. How do I know it's the same bird? The last close-up shows the writing on his beak. :lol:

It matches all the other shots!

His behavior is different from all the other Black Capped Herons I've seen. We forget that all of these birds are individuals...

Thanks everyone, but this bird really was so anxious to stay in that spot that he made it easy. Normally I like to post:

"taken from 12 miles away, or at least 300 yard away - In this case thirty feet...

Wonderful shots dave! Really good work getting detail in the whites and the darks. Love that
pose in the second shot!!!
