Great picture of the barn swallow! excellent lighting and sharpnes. Like #1 the best. I've been trying to get a picture of some Violet Greens we have around here but can't get them in light as you'vecaptured here.

These birds were sitting on a stick about 2 feet of the surface of the pond. The background is actually water.

Very nice captures ... barn swallows are among my favourite birds.

These are simply stunning, zoomn, especially the first one. Your long crop retaining the entire stick was an excellent choice IMO. If you used flash for these you used it the way it should be used, tastefully and not forcefully.
