Its been hot around here lately and not much bird activity. So I decided to get up extra early this morning before it got hot, seems the small birds had the same idea..

I really like the first and last. The first being one beautiful photograph, the last a realy good shot of a hard to photograph bird.

KEM, really nice shots!!! i love the bushtits in light except that the highlights are blown (at least on my monitor). Dave liked the last one of the waxwing. He's correct about being hard to capture. I like that one too and the only nit i have is the shaddow blocks the face of the bird (that could be my monitor). all the others are well done!!!

The whites are blown ever so slightly on the first and last shots, KEM, but the rest are absolutely wonderful, and that's the only reason I mention the first and last. That sparrow is just great and you must have been nice and close, too. Great series.

Nice shots. The sparrow is the winner here. Good detail, nice contrast and good capture of
their colors.
