These are my first attempt at using fill flash. Any advice?

I don't use a flash, with my equipment, it's impossiible.

However, you certainly seem to have done a nice job...:lol:

Great shots of a nice looking pair of RBGB's. :!: The fill flash looks perfect to me, nothing blown out and nothing too harsh. I think you got it just right.

Bmullen I don't think I've ever seen one of these before but if this male GB isn't the prettiest little fellow around I couldn't imagine what would be. You've made very good captures of all of them and I don't think you could have done any better with the flash. Looks fine to me. Great stuff....

Thanks guys. I was worried using it might scare the birds, but they didn't seem to notice it at all. It really seems to help out when I can't get fast enought shutter speeds or when the lighting is irregular.
