Yup, Rock Dove it is.... We have a bird here called the Rock pigeon, now recently changed to Rock Dove, [I think... so many names to get used to after knowing them as something else for decades]and it is pretty much the same size as the "Feral" pigeon, only it's normally a wild bird, wheras the feral pigeon is normally tame :?:?:O:?

Dave, are you having a LATE night or are you just up early ?? [Almost time to hit the sack here]

Thanks for looking in

Jake, these are all fine pictures with #1 and #2 standing out IMO. The colors of that Roller are amazing but I have to say that that I find the image of the starling to be the best picture here because it has humor, emotion, color all rolled into one.

Fabulous shots, Jake, what a wonderful variety. I think someone posted one of those Rollers before, perhaps it was you. In any event, that bird is magical. I wish you luck capturing many more of that one, just make sure you post them. All are good, especially the monkeys and the Kingisher, but the Roller rolls ahead of them all.

Yup, the heat is on [9 days to go] - I feel like a school kid waiting for schools holdays !!

Thanks Norm, i think I did post the roller before, either this shot or another [BTW, I think my resident grassbird took this particular shot]

Anyway, as mentioned, i hope to get some more action type shots with faster focussing of the 20D
