Spotted this guy flitting about at one of my favorite birding spots. Both photos needed some
shadow recover done in post processing.

As usual, 20D, 100-400L, ISO 400

400mm, f/7.1, 1/800sec

Also, while I was shooting this guy, this female Grossbeak fluttered into the bushes behind
me, checked my out, then fluttered off.

400mm, f/7.1, 1/125sec

The shots of the Waxwing are remarkable - A rare phase in this birds life.

I recently took a picture of a female grossbeak myself, although not very good. For some reason I insisted that it was a mutant sparrow, created by eating a radioactive spider.

Took me a while to nail it....:lol:

Thank you all for viewing and your comments.

Dave - I have seen the grossbeaks often this summer. However, they were on the "fly"
when I did. This was the first one that I was able to get a pic of.
