This magpie was pulling up roots of trees and plants etc to get worms. They shake and bang the roots until the worms fall out but sometimes they have a few problems as this one did.

Walking along a wall with the plan of banging the roots on it





Now if I can just pull this a little harder



getting frustrated and angry here

what are you looking at?

Thanks Norm, the face on shot seems to have blown out the highlights in the beak which was a pity.
