A Cape Weaver - similar to peri's masked weaver posted earlier. These birds build their nests, then hang upside down as this fellow is doing, making an incredible [although pleasant] noise, with a frenzied look on his face, swinging from side to side, all to attract his mate. She arrives on the scene, and most often starts to strip his intricately woven masterpiece because it's not good enough. This carries on until she is finally happy with it.

A Pintailed Whydah - A very plain brown "lbj" in winter, in Summer, a handsome arrogant nuisance [toother birds] - They tend to dominate feeders, chasing ALL other species away, even though theyare so small [body smaller than a sparrow]. Some people try and chase them away, but we leave them, nature has a way of fitting all things in [if wedon't interfere]

You really think so? Ok, I'll try it our next Saturday night. I've tried the Bufflehead duck method, which consists of holding your arms over your head and twirling around, and that unfortunaltely didn't work, although no one called the Cops.

They also suck their heads into the body, in and out, and I tried that too, but I lack the capacity to do it right.

Is there anything important is this guys techbique that I'm missing?
