The first one is a rehabilitated Eagle taken last year at the National Eagle Research Center in Wabasha, MN. The last two were taken along the Mississippi River in Red Wing, MN.

Linda, these are truly magnificent. Thank you so much for posting them and for posting your camera and settings. I notice that youused an Olympus C750UZ on the first one and the Canon 20D on the last ones.My first digital camera was the Olympus C2100UZ andnow I have the 20D and 100-400L IS. Again, these are wonderful images.

Regards

Now this IS odd. They are all good shots, but number one, taken basically with a point and shoot, is awesome...:!:

Maybe I'll toss my D2x and go back to a Brownie...:?:

Hi,

Linda101, that first photo is simply great! I love the detail you were able to capture. I have a fondness for eagles and have taken quite a few photos of them but this first photo is so descriptive of their power and presence!

The first shot is absolutely amazing - one of the best I've seen! I think I'll have to get to southern MN a little more. I've seensome of these birds on White Bear Lake while fishing, but none this close. Great job!
