All of these images were taken at dawn - Love the light! The one exception being the Brandt Geese - who are actually happily sitting on the grassy divider of the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn - cars whizzing by on both sides.

The Brandt almost disappeared as a species when the eel grass they eat died off. Fortunately the survivors learned how to eat grass. Now the eel grass is back, but the Bradts still, from time to time, munch on grain and grass.

These next two shots are of a Female Mallard, deciding the safest place was in the water.

This shot, no great image - struck me as so amusing, I would title it:

"Ok, Ok, no one gets in without a ticket - Form a line on the left..."
