These shots are actually ALL close crops. They were taken from about 50 yards - and then copped and recropped to the point of being rediculous...

These little Grebes are about 12 inches long. They get their "horns" in Spring, when the little tufts of feathers near their head turn orange - Of course, no one wants to raise kids in Brooklyn so they leave for the North...
