Default Can't Decide Help 2 pics

I took these photos of a subject I normally would not have shot but the leaves added something now I can't decide which I like the best.

I think you're right, I like that one best also.
Only kidding, I vote for the first one, nice shot.

Default First one

D,

The first one appeals more to me also. Although the leaf on the first one overpowers the image, I would probably crop it out just a little bit more.

Well, Dave, I like the second one best because I like being able to see the birds eye. I like the leaves in the pics - both are very good.

A second vote for #2, the leaf distracts me from the bird(too much leaf, not enough bird) Not that I don't like first one but I only saved the second one in forum post file. I like to use them for my screen saver rotation.

Both are nice shots!

I vote for number 2 because the shadow on the birds head in number one is a bit distracting to me.

Default Bird #1

I like the first shot better. The big leaf, rather than distracting me, makes me feel that I'm peeking into this bird's private domain. I also like the sweep of the lines from upper left to lower right, which the leaf continues. I also like the "spotlight" effect on the bird's head, even with the shadow.
