yup!, you may crop off a bit of the bottom for balance now... don't overdo it though or it will be too tight and centered..

Hi Smac, its been quite a while. You are one of the first ones to give me a little help getting started in this hobby a few years ago. Congratulations on the new camera. I've got the 20Dand100-400L now and just love um. I agree with most of the others on their critiques and #3 and 4 are my favorites, especially #3. That shot is beautiful.

Regards, Houston

Thanks guys,* Even though today was a first test run I was very pleased with the result.* I know it takes time to become comfortable with new equipment.* Houston,*I really had a hard time deciding between the Nikon and the Canon.* The 20D is consistantly putting up some pretty awesome pictures on this forum.* *I can't wait to get my lens.* Thanks again all,* Steve

Steve, I really like your pics. with the kit lens. When I got my D-70s I thought I had made a mistake because the pics. seemed soft. I was use to the IS on the FZ20 and had to concentrare on how I handled the camera and my photos started to improve. I tried the 100-300 with a 1.4x converter and it started to get soft at about 270mm so I got the 300 f4. I may have gotten a bad copy of the Sigma. I look foward to your post with your new lens.

Ron

Thanks Ron,* I know that there will be a period of adjustment getting used to the new gear.* That's part of the fun though.* I can't wait to get out in the field with the Sigma and shoot some picutures. I just checked the UPS sight and found the they have delivered my new lens.* Now, I just have to get off work and get it.** *Steve
