this one i call "Bath Time".. i am not as sure about it.. its too tight on the bottom because some weeds obstruct the bottom ducks legs and didnt look good when included..

BTW- this series was all shot with 20d and sigma 80-400 OS.. at 400mm f5.6 with shutter speeds 1/320-1/400ish..

Those are terrific.* *# 1 is classic.* There is something un-natural about the water in the second pic.* Not in a bad way, It looks more viscous than normal water.* I love the way the duck's reflection ripples in the water.* And #3 is just plain unique.* *Well, done.* Steve

All of these are very nice Dustin and I agree they are one of the most beautiful fowls in the world. Your #1 is my favorite. Cropped perfectly, its great. Dustin, if you will, go back to page 3 and look at my Wood Duck and Osprey. I would like to know what you think of those. Thanks

thank you much guys for the kind words.. #1 is my favorite too.. i had to wait for several minutes for him to stop preening and then he just stood up and showed off.. snapped off several then and this one was the best..

the texture of the water looks a little different because the water was really shallow and it was quite windy today.. plus it was picking up parts of the sky and parts of the trees, leaving it a bit mottled in color.. that is really my biggest qualms with these images is the heavy ripples on the water interacting with the bokeh..
