These are a couple of wood duck shots I got the same day as the spotted towhee's. I've never seen these guys so close before, and they were quite tame. I think someone's been feeding them........cheers........thekman.

hehe.. the "female" is actually a male greenwing teal.. a species of small dabbling duck..

i have never been able to get that close to a teal before, they usually do not tame as quickly as mallards and other ducks.. so it was a great capture to get him up close and personal..
