These first three images were shot with the sun glaring toward me. But on the third one expeically you can see the "buffle" that gives these guys their name. Although the Ms. doesn't have one.

On these last two shots, taken a few days later but in the same spot, I was shooting almost directly into the sun. I couldn't get over the water...

I shot the last one at 1/6000

I really like the water in the last two shots... almost looks like liquid metal. Buffleheads are cool little ducks, love that headdress. I usually see them at a distance with my binoculars but never get close enough for decent pictures.
