Super Stalk (A True Story)

Today was the day. "Super Stalk by Roger".

I had spotted a pair of Bald Eagles in a snag down by Heron Lake. To far for any good photos. Not to worry its time for a "SUPER STALK" thru the woods. Hang all the camera equipment on my body, check the wind, check the sun so I know which way to sneak thru the woods. YUP!!! this could result in a fantastic photo. The way I chose to get close would only be about 3/4 of a mile so this should not be a problem.

Do Eagles Change or Shrink????

Same tree when I got into position.

"""Some days chicken some days feathers or some days Bald Eagles some days a Robin."""

You are one of those courageous souls (like me of course) who is leading the way into the advancement of Ornithology. I have also noticed the camafloge behavior of Birds of Pray, that suddenly assume the form of lesser birds.

Many a time I've posted images of Peregrine Falcons, Great Horned Owls and such creatures, only to have people remark on my shot of a Mockingbired or Sparrow.

The genetic mechanism is little understood, but individuals like you and I will unravel this mystery of evolution!

Well, you've heard of the technbology of GPS. It is apparent to me that birds are capable of picking up on satalite signals tied to the electronics of the camera. This is simply an observation of a naturalist who has closely studied the "chameleon" phenomena in Birds of Pray...

For some reason it is also common in Kingfishers as well....
