Hey there just wanted to share and get your thoughts...this was at the max of my lens reach, so couldn't get very much details, but I liked the composition and colors, what do you guys think?

You're right - it is a great composition and the colors are fantastic. What camera are you using? If it's a point-and-shoot, it's amazing how well you were able to track these Geese - they are definitely in focus. Good job!

Thanks Linda for looking and commenting. I really appreciate it a lot. I was actually using a Maxxum 7D with a 70-210mm f/4 lens that day I think,

aperture was at f/4,

ISO 100, and my

shutter speed was at 1/1000.

Nice photo LT7, very good composition, and since your post title asked the question--they were taking off.

P/S - actually I think they were coming in for a landing. I'm not sure come to think of it. I don't really remember now. I was just so excited I got this shot.

Since there are splashes in the water, they must have been taking off. If I didn't see them, I would have assumed landing. Those splashes must be from Geese NOT in the image.

Nice shots!
