Some American Wigeons... not sure what the last duck is...

I love the velvet water of these shots, the reflections, etc...

It's rare that the ocean is quite enough for me to do this...

That last bird is a male Gadwall. Almost as handsome as the Widgin! I've only had a few shots of them this Winter.

Stunning shots, Kem, I agree with dave about the water, the texture really adds to the shots. I see the D200 is doing you proud !!

Dave, thanks for the ID! I looked up the Gadwall after seeing your post and my book also stated they like to hang with Wigeons. I also like the way the water gets that velvet "silky" look to it in the right light especially next to vegitation along the bank. Now if the sun ever comes back Im going back to see if hes still there.

Thanks for looking JackTPeg, Im loving the D200. I just purchased a 300mm F4 for it so I hope to take it out this weekend.
