Well, I figured I'd give my 500mm a workout (actually, I got the workout) and try some flight shots of tree swallows. Wow, they really move fast and are hard to find in the viewfinder!!! Especially with a TC on it. Norm, I have an extreme appreciation for the flight shots you make!!!! Not great but for me at this time, they are acceptable. All shot with 20D and hand held.

1. "Hey you!!! Get off of my branch!!!!" not a flight shot but every swallow has to have it's own branch. 500mm iso 400 f/4 1/3200 EC +1 1/3

You ought to pat yourself on the back, Dave. I think these are pretty darned good. I've been trying to get swallow in flight shots for some time now and just can't come up with anything decent enough to print (too hefty of a crop needed). Either the swallows around where I live are faster than your swallows or I am just not up to the task...

#1 is my favorite, btw. #4 is a close second...

I also like these shots. I also e-mailed everyone and told them that I post under two identities. :blah:

Sorry about that...()
