Default Wildlife in hawaii

There's so little wildlife here I decided to post the only wildlife I could find in my garden. This fellow looks a bit sleepy .

Decent image. I'd crop it some more. The beasty doesn't stand out enough because the background is too much in focus and of similar tones.

Steve, you're right a bit of cropping would have made it even more interesting. My hand was shaking so much from photographing this monster I forgot to edit the photo.

Just kidding. Thanks for the tip.

Nice shot of the lizard. But... erm... that doesn't look like a chameleon. Unless it's a Hawaiin version of the chameleons we have here!

Proze,

Technically, it's an anole lizard. There are not supposed to be any chameleons in Hawaii, since their importation is banned to rpotect the Hawaiian wildlife.

Here in Hawaii, the fellow is sometimes referred to as a chameleon. Why? I haven't got clue.

Aloha, thanks for the comments.
