Prettiest female Cardinal I've ever seen, and she was kind enough to pose...

A Chickadee posing aginst the background of the sky, and a close crop of the same image.

House Sparrow

These two shots of a Song Sparrow were taken as he sat on debris washed up at high tide.

Thanks to Mullen, I've been looking for Robins.

A Mockingbird, overlooks the marine pond.

Those are some really nice shots. I think the "bokeh" in the first two pictures is kind of weird (please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm kind of new) but the detail in some of those shots is amazing.

It's rare that I get a chance to decide in advance what the DOF will look like. I shoot with a Swarovski spotting scope, so I'm limited to a fixed f stop. With THIS camera adapter, that is f13.

In this series, the Song Sparrow shots and the Chickadee shots were thought out in advance. I had a minute or two to plan the angle and approach.

The Cardinal is, well, just the way it came out. I like it a lot, but I didn't "set it up." There was a single weed that got in the way, you can see the impact of this on her back, where it looks "soft."

I've shot a a number of these young ladies, and she is easily the prettiest I've ever taken. She has more red then most of her girl friends.
