I came upon this guy in my favorite Marine Marsh at the crack of dawn. I tried different angles, keeping my distance.

I think in this shot, taken about twnety minutes later, he's trying to tell me what he thinks of my being a voyeur.

Later coming back, I found him fishing...

This Snowy, was hidden in the old reeds, and I was hard pressed not to make use of my usual "brown" filters.

And you know how it is when you just can't do a thing with your hair...

Good early morning shots Dave.

I am sort of partial to those filters myself but haven't quite got the knack to use 'em right.

At f13, I'm assuming your using the Hubbell, these are excellent. I'm still fighting with light on the Nikon 1000mm.

I didn't know that Nikon makes a commerical 1000mm lens. What's the f stop range and other relevant stats. I would be interested in how it compared optically to my Swarovski, err, Hubbel...

You can custom order a 1900mm lens from them. It will set you back a mere $72K.

I'm about to post a little two picture series on the power of my Hubble...
