This is a small Marsh Wren that was playing injured to draw me away from her nest.

A Blue Heron takes flight across the pond. Looks like its right wing is almost touching the water.

very nice work, especially the wren! i've seen herons' wings actually drag the surface, and even caught a pic of one doing just that. sometimes it's a wonder they stay airborne... but then, they only weigh 5-8 lbs, and with those wings, it probably doesn't take much to keep them aloft...

how do you guys get so close to these birds. Is there something i'm missing.

maybe birds would help for starters ha ha ha

Good job on all. I reallylike that swallow pic.

He,he, from the look on the Heron's face, it has been a hard day at the office. Must be the one that swallowed the snake.
