Hi John - I love the Spotted Hyaena shot, the lighting and pose are brilliant !!

Your first "random" bird is a orange-throatedlongclaw [could be a yellow-throated, the lighting may be such that it has enhanced the colour], the others, I would have to check them out, [possibly flycatchers of sorts] Nice series of shots !!

Thanks for the comments Jake, you would never be able to tell by looking at the shot, but that hyhena was actually running and he ran straight past my car, too close to get a full body shot, hence the potrait. It ended up working out ok though.

Thanks for the ID on theorange-throatedlongclaw. If it helps to clarify the ID, the bird never left the ground. I took shots for about 10 minutes, then decided I better find another subject while the light was still alright.
