Default Close up of bird of prey

The background was distracting so I changed it for black.

Hope you like it.

Greetings,
Frank

Its very well done - the erasing job on the background. But this eagle has a very flat and funny head. he he he....

The sharpness should be on the head - not the body. You cut out the claws(!).

(hope I'm not too hard on you).

BTW I like that little beard

I know it's not perfect framing, but man do they move arround quick, it was really a bit of shoot and hope.

Greetings,
Frank

You could consider making him a little smaller in the frame, allowing the bird to move without having to track him as much. Then you can crop/reframe it as necessary in your computer. Ya, you'll loose a little resolution, but I think the better framing would be worth it.

Also, there is a slight halo effect on the inside right leg where the feathers are. But in general you did a really good job removing the background.

I'm a birder as well as photographer, so I like the shot.

Eric,

I will do that the next time, I'm a beginner but learning quickly thanks to comments like this. I started only 4-5 months ago.

Greetings,
Frank

Ah, the Dutch toupeed eagle - the somewhat self-conscious cousin of the American bald eagle. Fantastic shot!

Frank, the jesses on the legs are quite obvious. From some type of exhibition or other captive envirorment?
