I see what you are looking at. I was concintrating on the throat being blue .It can sure be hard to tell when the similaraties are more than the diferences.It is certainly a beautifull bird no matter the side of Rockies it alledgedly resides on .

Field guides describe the belly of the Western as having a grayish White belly and tail coverts. Whereas the Eastern is a clearer white.

Compare this picture to the ones above. It is a Western Bluebird...
