I've been watching tree sparrows fly around and finally caught some chickies!! It is amazing how they know mommy is coming with food even from behind them out of sight! Must have ESP. then they open up and make a racket. All pics with 20d 500mm & 1.4TC& tripod.

6. Female redwinged blackbird with food for chicks. she wouldn't stay still as I was very close to the nest. She never went directly to the nest while I was taking pictures of her. The male was flying and landing close to me and shouting some obscenities at me!! This is a "play" picture for me as I tried a bunch ofexperimentation in photoshop.

Great shots Dennis! I like #2 and 3. They came out really nice at 700mm. Did you crop or are these full frame.

Yes they are great shots!!!!

Love em! Of course you had a moment of disbelief and named them Sparrows - But Swallows happen...
