I thought these were Song Sparrows but an avid birder told me they were Fox Sparrows.

I've bought a new monitor and realized all my previous posts were a bit light. Please let me know if these are too dark,

Thanks

Your images look high contrast, but not to dark or light.

Both the Fox Sparrow and Song Sparrow have that irregular blotch on the chest. However, take a good look at the head. Note the brown line starting at the rear of the eye and going back.

None of the five sub species of Fox Sparrow that I have pictures of have that line, while some of the sub species of Song Sparrows do.

This makes me feel that your sources are being betrayed by Terrorists with their own agenda...:?

Very nice shots Jim. They do seem a little bit dark on my monitor, but that is mostly the background. The head is exposed very well. Looks like this was a tough one to get the correct exposure on with such a wide dynamic range........cheers.......Don.
