Haven't seen a w'pecker in months. Now I see 2 in one day. Go figure.

1. Hairy. The head was a little o.o.f. on this one, so I tried the sharp too.

2. The wood was flying here. Those specks you see are chips he's pecked away at..

3 Northern Flicker. Lousy light. Always seems to be in front of you....

4 At ground level. I've seen one of these flickers in our courtyard scrounging around in the flower beds. Looking for bugs no doubt...cheers......Don.
