I haven't seen a "Neighbor's Clydesdale" forum so I think this is the right place for this one! LOL! Great shot! I really like the DOF ... was that against the barn or did you photoshop it?? I was hoping that I could get a shot or 2 of a young one that is a couple of miles from our house but he wasn't out when I went by there this morning ... maybe tomorrow.

Hi Ron this was shot with the background being already quite dark as the angle I shot at brought it's head into bright sunshine but left the background in the dark shade. I did PP the background into an uniform blackness to get the the impact that I wanted.
Thanks for looking
Geoff
Looking forward to seeing your shot of a youngster if you can get it

Well Geoff, I got to go back by the Clydesdales this morning & realized that it has been quite a few months since I had seen the youngster. Well, he's grown up quite a bit! In fact, he's almost as big as momma! Where does the time go???!!!! I think he might be like almost a year old already. Anyway, here he is with momma! He is to the forefront. Sorry, it's not as artistic as your post! I still have a LOT to learn on PSE3 :?I'm doing good to import/export, resize, & smartfix! SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, LOL!

I like that Ron , they grow up really fast. The only thing I would do to it would be to increase the saturation to bring out the rich colour of the coats and possible apply a slight blur to the background.
Cheers Geoff
