Buzzsaw, Great captures! I really like #2 and especially #5.
What's the EXIF info on #1, looks to have a bit of a DOF issue or motion blur on the Oriole's head.

KEM, that first one is OOF (out of focus) not really that good of a shot in my opinion, just wanted to throw some colors into the thread. I needed to ramp up the ISO a bit, my problem is I'm stubborn and always and I mean always (unless taking flight shots) keep a low ISO to get a better quality less grainy picture and when a bird pearches and barely moves it messes me up. I delete a ton of pictures because of this. I'll have to gpo back and pull up the exif as Elements strips it when I do the "save for web" feature.

Ron, your crackin' me up, thanks again for the compliments, I always appreciate CC guys. Go Saluki's! :-)

No prob for the cc... I'm the same way! That's what photography is all about! I think that's how we are suppose to expand our horizons with this expensive hobby that we've gotten interested in! A friendof mine once said, "we're spending too much money not to be having a good time with photography! there's no need to get too critical with someone else's work as along as they're having a good time doing it"

ohyeah, I'm new to the "wildlife" forum ... been hanging around the pentax dslr forum for the last couple of months so I feel the need to explain why those 2 shots are my fav's. I live about 15 minutes from the Gateway Arch in S. Illinois (O'Fallon is the town's name) so every winter, I HAVE TOspend a w/e or 5 driving along the Mississippi looking for wintering balds! And being this close to St. Louis, I am a lifelong Cardinal baseball fan! Don't get me wrong, I always pull for the Saluki's in March Madness ... unless of course, the Fighting Illini show up as well!:GSo Golden Gophers, Twins, Twolves or Vikings??? or Wild??? sorry also a big Blues fan! Never played hockey but like it in the winter.
