This is why I don't mind sitting in the woods near the lake in the park preserve near my home. This guy flew in on my right hand side almost silently and was about fifteen to twenty feet away... it took me about ten minutes to rotate my body and camera around to get into the proper position to photograph this guy.... in the end it was worth it.

Thanks guys, the early morning light, being eye level and smack dab in the birds habitat catching him while in the act of hunting with the background lilypads really does it for me on these shots... I don't usually say when I like my shots as it always comes off wrong, but I really like these and they are getting recognized on the naturescapes website by alot of high end photographers which makes me feel good. :-). I still have to go through quite a few more pics of these that were taken Sunday morning and see how they turned out.

What did he catch ? One I photograph in an overflow pond seems to like frogs amongst other things
