I tried deconvolution with Image Analyzer and it didn't do as good a job as jachol did with Focus Magic. So I used Jack's focused image and took some of the rough edges off. Hope he doesn't mind. It still fits his "personally I wouldn't be satisfied with that" but might print a tad better in a very small size.

The camera compressed it then you compressed it again after the resize. Then Jack compressed the focused image and I am compressing his. All that compression isn't a help.

Hi Slipe,
I don't mind a bit, if I did wouldn't post any stuff. LOL I just didn't go any further because I couldn't see I could get a good result, the picture info isn't there to start with in the original sample.

My color heads needed stirring, so I printed a 4.5 X 6 on glossy photo paper. It looked absolutely great! Then I put my reading glasses on. Maybe a 3.75 X 5 wouldn't look too bad.

A bit of a late response - other things actually do take precedence at times. I gave this one a try with Image Analyzer - used a couple different approaches. Started with the deconvolution-circular for 1 iteration, the used gaussian for 1 iteration. The jpeg artifacts were reduced with the noise reduction, then I used the smooth/sharpen to clean it up a bit more. Tweaked the color balance and lightness as last step. Couldn't get it really sharp. but tried for a bit of a soft look
