Default Your Mission

Should you decide to accept it is to save this shot of me at the annual senior ski race called the Over the Hill Classic for age 50 and older. The official photographer didn't use his DSLR, shooting a point and shoot zoom. It's the only one of me and I would like the best shot I can get. I've worked it over, but not to my satisfaction. Thanks and good luck.

Ya if you want someone to work on your file you should be supplying the original hi res file. Doing the work on the lo res is just a waste of time.

That is the only resolution available. He downsized everything to post the pictures from the race on a website and didn't keep the originals. I know, I know. What???? Very nice tries. Thanks for the efforts. Low and behold, another guy was shooting and just sent me this shot. Much, much better. Not bad for 61 years old, if I do say so myself.

Default Here's my try

Here is your first picture put through the works in Neat Image, and Photoshop CS5. My main concern was to reduce the noise and in doing so have lost some of the snow detail.

You never know when you might need help. It turns out that after I had made a large mounted poster of the shot clearing the red gate the photographer tells me he made a composite in Photoshop, cutting and pasting me next to the gate. "Only you and I will ever know," he said. Into the trash it went. FYI photographers, don't do things like that! So simple, yours is the winner to my eye. Thanks to everyone for their attempts.
