Default Can someone help fix this?

I took this photo at a friends wedding in Turkey and the hotel put chefs behind them as the hotel photographer was snapping away. I need to get rid of the chef! Please help!

I'm sure someone can do an even better job with the full size original but here's a quick attempt. Just need to mask the problem area and clone little bits to replace it. The plant behind his hat was the fiddly bit.

Nice job Martin. Trying to better your effort would be a waste of time. Especially considering its a lo res file.

hi Kenzie,
i also managed to clean it up a bit too, get rid of the noise on the groom's face and on the wall where the chef was. Martin did a great job on the clone work and i think overall the picture is about as good as you'll get it from the original you posted. if you have a higher res original try using Topaz All in One, its a photoshop bolt on that runs inside photoshop or elements. very good for cleaning up pictures.

hope youre happier with it

all the best,
john

Hi,

Personally I'd crop off the right side of the picture, IMO it does nothing for the composition, and is just a minor distraction. ... Jack

I suggest that it would look better without the cake too: even though the chef's gone, the cake competes with the couple as well.

Here's my 2c worth -

Hi Herb,

I agree the cake is distraction, but IMO you just replaced it with another distraction ... just constructive criticism, nothing more. ... Jack

I think you should have replaced the cake with something awesome like a lion or a shark... but that's just me
