Welcome, welcome, olympus! I like it! You're the first to address that pesky bright spot to the right of the can. It's been bothering me but I've been ignoring it just the same. Hope you post lots more!

Very playful, alady! I also was thinking along those lines. Creative job with it.

Cal, she's beautiful. and, ferny, perhaps someday I will post some photos of Snootz. :-)

How about a little selective colour.

I like all the ideas put forth so far except the UFO treatment. Aladyforty, no disrespect intended but that version is a little too much "out in space" for me.

Thank you all for your input. I know this was not much of a challenge but the various approaches and techniques are educational.

I felt badthat you were trapped in that garbage can Cal, so I decided to set you free. A quick and not very good job...

Well, I'm impressed GoCubs. It's something I thought of doing but wasn't confident enough to do. You've made a good job of it. Especially if it was a quick job.

GoCubs, thanks for "Freeing cal!" Nice job!

ferny, I'm not quite sure why you doubt your ability. You're fantastically creative and good at execution. So you don't get credit for weenie-ing out of trying your idea. GoCubs gets ALL the credit. :-)

I posted an edit to my last post but it didn't! I guess the forum software doesn't allow edits to be posted after a certain period of time.

Anyway, I noticed that my wife's reflection appears in that picture. She was photographing that beautiful building while I was photographing the garbage can. :-? :-?

Well thanks Ferny and Monkey, but I literally spent less than 5 minutes on it, that seemed about the time limit of my 18mo. old that was squirming on my lap and why some of the lines aren't where I wanted them and why they aren't as sharp as I would have liked. Just posted it for another idea.
