Is this any good? You may be able to get rid of some of the haze with Unsharpen Mask. I'll leave someone who knows what they're doing to have a go.

My attempt is similar to Ferny's. I cropped out the guard rail, applied auto-contrast, clarify, auto-saturation, and default unsharp mask (2,1,5) in PSP8.

heres my go, I just noticed a small white line in the middle of the sky that you could try to remove if you wanted to.

thanks everyone that really cuts out the fog. It looks like you enchanced the contrast and the color tones. I'll have to try that on the original. Any thing else that you did? I think that line is from the window, i'll just have to clone it out.

Thanks!

Not too great, but I thought to try something different from everyone else. I think there's a slightly different look since I began the coastline in a receeding area.

I really got bad results on the far right, as you can see the blur is kind of ugly. But you get the gist.
